How RecoupAerators® work

RecoupAerators® are air exchangers and air ventilation systems that can dramatically improve your indoor air quality. In the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning business (HVAC), our air exchangers are called energy recovery ventilators (ERVs) or heat recovery ventilators (HRVs).

RecoupAerators® are specialized air exchangers that introduce fresh, filtered air into a building, remove the old air, keep indoor temperature stable, expend a minimum of energy, and keep the indoor humidity comfortable both in winter and summer.

If your home already has forced-air heating or cooling, your RecoupAerator® can be incorporated into your home's existing ductwork to work with your furnace, central air unit, or heat pump. Stale air leaves your home either through your furnace's cold air return or through vents installed in your kitchen or bathroom(s).

If your house doesn’t have forced air cooling or heating, you can easily install ductwork to remove air from rooms such as kitchens or bathrooms and vent clean outdoor air to bedrooms and living areas. You can also install a RecoupAerator Window Unit® to vent a single room or part of a house.

For homes with radiant hot water or electric baseboard heating, you can easily install an independently ducted system. The RecoupAerator® exhausts stale air from bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry room, while it supplies fresh air to bedrooms and high-use areas of your home.
